Screening Suggestions

I do require screening before inviting a new friend over.

I try to offer enough options to fit most circumstances.

Usually any two of the following will work.

The caveat being that both options can't be links that anyone could find and send claiming to be you.  Particularly if you're texting me from a disposable phone or text app.

-----

A LinkedIn profile with a fairly recent photo.

(along with a right now selfie)

Professional email?

I have a second email account with no connection to the hobby for a discrete and brief exchange.

I could discretely call and ask for you at your desk.

I prefer to call through the auto attendant as opposed to your direct line.  Even if you're not there, is your voicemail accessible remotely,

I could and leave a message for you to retrieve.

A photo of you on an organization  company website someplace.

(along with a right now selfie)

An article written by you or about you with a photo?

(along with a right now selfie)

Active memberships on boards like P411 may work.

I'm not yet a member of the network.

But there is a mechanism that allows you to give me a view of your profile.

"I've never heard of being able to do that."

Trust me, it's there.

Other boards with a similar set up may also be considered.

References from established companions who you've met before.

(references alone don't suffice)

Personal social media may be one option.

(must be active, and the email tied to it should be one you commonly use)

A drivers license and a right now selfie.

(depending on whether I can find you online as well, that will sometimes be considered as one item and other times as two)

Something similar that I haven't thought of that serves the same purpose.

The key word is similar.

I've seen court docs online work,

Property records.

A few other things as well.

What will absolutely NOT be accepted:

FaceTime or Duo Calls

Meeting you in a public face.

Just trusting that you're a nice guy.

Sending me a deposit in lieu of screening.
